DOTA 2 BASICS

DOTA 2DOTA 2 is the second episode of the classic MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) DOTA (Defense of the Ancients). Two teams compete to destroy their enemies Ancient. The map played on includes three lanes with three enemy Towers defending each teams base. There is also a jungle which is filled with various creatures and bonuses.

The teams include five players, which has five different characters, called Heroes, chosen by each teams strategy. Including Fighters, Supports, Marksman’s and Mages. There is a shop in which both teams build different items giving numbers of unique bonuses and abilities. Items costs gold. Gold can be received by killing creeps, monsters in the jungle, towers or other hero.

In the competitive scene DOTA 2 has numbers of different tournaments. The most prime event is called "The International" which holds a prize pool of $1,000,000 for the winner.

"Who wins the match" bet

As there is no definition for Home and Away team. Each team is indicated with numbers. The team on the right side is called #1 and the team on the left #2. You can bet on which team is going to win the game.

If there is a bet placed backing 1. Team NA’VI with 10 units at odds of 1.7 you would expect a win of 17 units: 10*1.7=17 There is 7 units of net profit.

"Map 1,2" bet

Most of the competitive scene matches are played in a best of 3 format. Which means that the first team who reaches 2 wins is the winner. We offer bets for each map.

If there is a bet placed backing Team NA’VI with 10 units at odds of 1.7. You will consider this bet as won if Team NA’VI wins the first round. And you will receive 17 units. 10*1.7=17 The net profit is 7 units.
